Individual therapy


Carolyn recognizes the role that trauma can have in the development of mental unwellness. Therefore, a trauma-informed approach forms the basis of all interactions.

Carolyn is experienced at working with a range of psychological difficulties including: 

  • trauma, complex trauma and dissociation
  • depression, low self-esteem and confidence issues
  • anxiety, panic and phobias
  • stress, adjustment issues, bullying
  • grief, loss and bereavement

Carolyn offers a range of evidence-based practices depending on the client's goals and needs, including:
  • EMDR therapy
  • Structural Dissociation
  • Polyvagal Therapy
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Mindfulness
  • Resource Therapy

Carolyn's holistic approach to therapy considers all physical, social and psychological factors that may be maintaining current concerns. She works with adults (aged 18 years and above) under:

  • Medicare and DVA (GP referral required)
  • NDIS (Plan-managed and Self-managed)
  • Workcover
  • Private Health
  • Fire & Emergency Services Support Network (FESSN)

PLEASE NOTE:  This service cannot provide legal reports. 
As the information gathered during the therapeutic process is not fit for use in medico-legal or other settings, client files will not be provided to third parties (eg. insurance agencies) unless under subpoena.  

Fees

As of 1st February 2025, the cost of a 50-minute session is $180. 

With a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you are eligible for a Medicare rebate of $96.65 ($83.35 out of pocket) per session, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
